Ncp pccn

I received a PCCN in September 2010 for only paying £2.00 to park for an hour rather than £2.20. I did in fact pay £2.20 but didn't realise that the machine had rejected my 20p. I returned to the car park an hour later and paid £1.20 for a further half an hour and went to my car to display when I found the PCCN.

The PCCN states that it is a "Notice of breach of terms and conditions of parking at a car park owned or managed by National Car Parks Limited". All the signs and payment machines in the car park were NCP branded therefore I assume this was not a council car park. How do I tell for sure whether it was council car park please?

I sent an appeal and this was rejected. I havve since received two letters from NCP asking for payment of £50 and then £100 and three letters from Newlyn asking for payment of £142.00. The latest of these letters being dated 11 March 2011 (only received today as they don't use proper Royal Mail service). The latest letter is asking for payment within 14 days otherwise proceedings will be initiated in the County Court where a Judgement may be obtained. They go on to say that the CCJ may then be enforced by a court appointed bailiff which will incur substantial costs.

I have ignored all the letters so far after checking out the internet forums.

It is my understanding that only NCP can take this to court and that a CCJ would only be registered if I then failed to pay if there were a successful action. I have also read that NCP do not tend to take these matters to court.

I would appreciate any feedback or advice please.

Thank you,
Diblington

Your first mistake was appealing, the invoice you received is not enforceable, they will not take you to court, there will be no ccj to worry about, what you need to do is ignore them utterly, you got them all excited by entering their bogus appeal process, they are automatically turned down by the way as it's not independent .
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
  • I would imagine many people make the mistake of appealing as this is first instinct. Thankfully I did a bit of research after their rejection of my appeal and have ignored every letter since.

Good for you , it's important to know how these companies work, they are all the same there is no good eggs out there, all they want is your money, there is a ncp thread ongoing with an appeal turned down on a car this person doesn't even own, they have the wrong number plate but they insist that he pays otherwise they threaten court, you just can't make it up ;)

Anyway do your civic duty and tell everyone about this scam, enjoy keeping your money!
