I don't know how computer savvy you are but you should be able to get rid of it via msconfig.
Start>Run type MSCONFIG click on Startup tab and scroll through.
Each thing you untick will never start up again once you restart your pc.
Sorry I don't have any hp software here so I don't know what to tell you to look out for when scrolling through.
I unsually untick pointless things like Adobe, google updater, divix update etc.
Hope it helps - hp drives me mad at work with those stupid popup things!!0 -
Thankyou.
I am not very computer savvy!
Will have a look to see if I can see anything that looks relevant.0 -
Have looked through Start up programmes as suggested & disabled hpwuScd App.
Will post tomorrow if this is the culprit.0 -
No it isn't as PopUp has just appeared!
All other HP startups appear to be relevant so it looks as though I'm stuck with it.0 -
To get rid of it, you need to be logged on with Administrator priveleges, then do the following:
1. Click Start, type the following "Task Scheduler" (without quotes) in the search field and press enter:
2. Click Continue to confirm permission, if requested to do so.
3. Click Task Scheduler Library in the Left column.
4. Click Registration in the center column, (entries in task scheduler are often prefixed with webreg and should be deleted)
5. Select delete in the lower right corner of the window.0 -
Have found registration but no delete box.(Am using Vista)
There is separate window below when I have selected Registration.Choices are
Run only when logged on(this is checked)
Run whether logged on or not
