Outlook Express Viewing problems

Options
I use a hotmail account which I view through Outlook Express. The emails in Outlook Express used to automatically download and when I deleted them, marked them as read or anything else, it was a permanant action.

Now, I have to mark the emails to download and then click send and receive.

If I delete an email, after pressing send and receive, it pops up again as if it were new email.

Any ideas how to get back to the automatic system I was once using?

Thank you:confused:

    Sounds as though you are now accessing on the internet (webmail) and using that to filter your email before downloading it to your PC with OE.

    Consider using a free product such as Mailwasher;

    Set it up to open when your PC starts and it will login and check your account for you. You can then accept, delete and/or bounce any SPAM and it will then dowload the cleaned emails to outlook for you.
