A big wet sloppy thank you

I have been using this website for years but have never posted before. When I first visited a few years back I was having problems with barclaycard, capital 1 and littlewoods.

I got in trouble when business got slow, the threatening letters scared me half to death, I was so depressed near enough suicidal.

As soon as I started to read some of the other posts I realised that the letters were empty threats, I felt really relieved.

I still have a dispute with barclaycard but capital 1 and littlewoods have been dealt with, now I file any threatening letters in the appropriate place (the bin) and send my usual reply (which I'm pretty sure I got from a thread here)

I'm doing much better with my money situation now I have gotten married and am doing well, as is my business :)

If it wasn't for this site I may never have known that the threats were empty, the info here may have saved my life

Thank you

Have you checked your credit file to make sure that they haven't followed through on any of their threats? I don't want to put a downer on your success story but not everything in every collections letter is an empty threat!

Yeah capital 1 and littlewoods have completely backed down, barclaycard occasionally register a default but It's close to a resolution.

They could not produce a copy of the credit agreement so it should all be done and dusted soon :D

p.s sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place
