* Asset details (life insurance, private pensions, shares, savings)
* Hire Purchase details (lender, how long left, arrears, lump sum if relevant)

Why would it worry you?Every time you write a cheque someone gets your account details as it's printed on each cheque.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

ok ok , i've been screwed over before and i'm now pretty wary. are they a good company i.e interes rates.etc. there must be a catch. NO company is this nice.0 -
What do you mean interest rates?Payplan (and CCCS) are a free company that deal with debt management plans-they don't charge for their services as they are a charity. They deal with all the people you owe money to, but they don't lend you money to pay them off(presuming that's what you thought as you were asking about interest rates)Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

oh ok. you know i feel pretty stupid now. i've been brain washed by my neighbour! all companies are evil.... so it's down to your income and they work out, say a lump you pay the creditors. i thought it put all my debt in one place and i just paid that lump each month!0 -
Yeah that's pretty much it-I've done my own (semi successful) debt repayment plan(I say semi as MBNA are nasty people). What payplan do is contact all the companies for you,you pay them in one payment each month and then they distribute it amongst all the creditors.
PS Didn't mean to make you feel stupid-sorry.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

I think you have the wrong idea about PayPlan - have you checked out their website?? If they can put you on a debt management plan, you will be paying a certain amount (they work out what you can afford during your interview) to them and they dish it out to your creditors. However this will likely be less than the minimum amounts that they require and so will affect your credit rating. Their service is free altho I understand that there are some companies out there who charge for doing the same thing.
I'm with PayPlan (or will be when the paperwork arrives), they were recommended to me by my friend long before I found this website - she can't praise them highly enough for their help, and they are completely FREE... and if the girl I spoke to is anything to go by, they are also THAT nice!
If you are in serious trouble with your debt, then please trust them or CCCS before things get worse...Proud to be dealing with my debts:dance:

Hi,
Payplan are great, been with them 2 years now, the "consoltation" you have with them over the phone is like a breath of fresh air. It was more like health counselling for me, I just burst into tears half way through realing off my list to them. The woman was great, she said to me that no matter how bad you think your debts are there is always someone worse off than you! You will be able to breathe a huge sigh of relief when you get started with them as most of my creditors ignored me when I tried to call and explain I couldn't pay, but as soon as they see "Payplan" connected with your name they will leave you alone to get on with repayments.
Should you receive any sort of correspondence during your time with Payplan, you just forward it on to them to deal with.
How comes their services are free? Because, I think I'm right in saying this, they were set up by the credit card people/loan people etc. as a way of retrieving some of their money that they probably otherwise wouldn't get see.
Hope it all goes well for you.
