Good butcher needed- Cardiff

Desperately need good butcher for a fresh Christmas turkey- have large family coming for dinner.
Usually buy from Lush in penarth which provides excellent meat however I rang them yesterday and they informed me this year they aren't providing fresh turkeys for Christmas.Gutted!
Thet are providing the same fresh turkey as last year (fantastic) but you have to pick it up by the beginning of December and freeze it.
Checking the web and advice given is that by the time you take your fresh turkey home and your freezer freezes the meat the turkey has already started to deteriorate.
Can anyone help? I live in Cardiff North but happy to travel.

Lee Evans in Wentloog Road Rumney..his meat is great and reasonably priced, his Turkeys come from Spittle in Havorfordwest.

Also Peter Shields in Beulah Road, Rhiwbina is a good one, Rayboulds in Rhiwbina Village is another one.

lush was going to be my first suggestion, but i see that wouldnt be of much help :D

does a freezing a fresh turkey really make that much difference to the taste? especially if you are happy with the quality of meat received from david lush, and the good service...

Also, not sure if they are doing turkey this year, but this stall in Central Market is fantastic:

They are really helpful, so would be worth contacting them as if they are not doing turkeys themselves they may well know of a good supplier who is.

I would second either of the butchers in Rhiwbina.
