xbox 360 plug fuse size... any ideas please?

Hi DS1 has borrowed an xbox 360 from a friend. There is no fuse in the plug for the power adapter and was wondering if anyone knew what size we should put in.

    3 amp would be appropriate.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Does it not say on the plug what fuse should be fitted

10 amps, does your Xbox take over 2 kilowatts?

We are talking about the fuse in the mains plug guys?

Some kit has a power on surge.

I'd have though 3A was correct but if they come with 10A then that's the size to use.

Hi I popped in a 3amp fuse and everything is working fine. Am I right in thinking that a 3 amp will 'blow' more readily than a 10amp?

    All things being equal, yes.

Can I resist the temptation to say that these plug fuses are all the same size but that their ratings may differ?
    Just about...
  • My power block say 250V 2.5A on it so a 3A would do it just 5A might be better. Bizarrely mine came with a 10A in it too.
Nothing to see here, move along.
