Hi DS1 has borrowed an xbox 360 from a friend. There is no fuse in the plug for the power adapter and was wondering if anyone knew what size we should put in.

3 amp would be appropriate. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Does it not say on the plug what fuse should be fitted0

mines a 10 amp fuse but i have the 360 elite so not sure if that makes a difference0 -
10 amps, does your Xbox take over 2 kilowatts?
We are talking about the fuse in the mains plug guys? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Some kit has a power on surge.
I'd have though 3A was correct but if they come with 10A then that's the size to use.0 -
Hi I popped in a 3amp fuse and everything is working fine. Am I right in thinking that a 3 amp will 'blow' more readily than a 10amp?

All things being equal, yes.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Can I resist the temptation to say that these plug fuses are all the same size but that their ratings may differ?
Just about...0 -
My power block say 250V 2.5A on it so a 3A would do it just 5A might be better. Bizarrely mine came with a 10A in it too.Nothing to see here, move along.0
