Natwest Advantage Private

I have just had a letter from my Bank manager. He is moving onto a better job, so the letter says. Now my account is handled from an office further north.

Am I just a bad customer, or have other people also had this.

There's been a *massive* change in the way Private banking is being handled now, and one of the biggest changes, is the restructuring and allocation of the Private Banking Managers.

Does it say who will be taking over his Port Folio, as that is usually the case.

The Private Banking offices (at least in the one I work at) have at least trebled in size, to get ready in time for the changes, so hopefully, having a central office means there will be a quicker turnaround for your requests and needs.

I have since had a phone call from my new manager.

Its just that I thought that Natwest was expanding its branch network. But now it seems that there are central points around the UK. I supose it means they can cover staff easily when there is an issue. But I miss being able to easily contact my RM.

Have they made any redundancies to the old managers?

I'm not sure of redundancies, but I do know some have decided to moved on, whether within the bank or outside - but they have been replaced. I don't think having central locations is to do with the cover factor as that would be sorted centrally - it's more of a service thing as some managers are based at these centres now. All the Private Banking Managers' assistants are based at those centres too.

Why can't you ring your new PBM up? The service hasn't changed, just the face.(?!)

I'm not being funny but the guys are nothing but glorified salesman and in many cases pretty poor ones at that. I doubt you will miss out on anything at all.

Its just that previously you could have a face to face meeting with your manager. So they can talk through things you required with you and explain everything.

But I suppose that the whole RBS group is changing with the English branches being sold. Maybe they need the room to expand RBS in Natwest areas.
