Suddenly can't post to the forum using FF ?

Don't know what's happened here.

I use FF and as of this morning I can't reply to any thread. The forum says there's no text in the reply box ?

I've tried cuting and pasteing it, still nothing. Restarted FF and the PC, still nothing ??

IE 8 works, but that won't post to other forums with the same problem ???

Anyone? What's gone wrong !

(I've run malware checkers and virus scans which all report nothing found after updating them).

I've not seen these specific symptoms, but MSE sometimes gets its cookies completely screwed up with FF, and things go quickly downhill from there.

If you go to Tools, View All Cookies, you can pick the MSE and forums.MSE cookies and delete them, then restart FF and log back in. Worth a try...

Not for a while, maybe a couple of weeks or more.

Anyone have any thoughts on a fix for this?

I've tried updating windows, running a checking and tuneup util. Nothing works. I've tried to use Chrome and while I can post with it the page formatting is all over the place and pages take an age to load.

Short of reinstalling windows (which I'm not keen to do), I'm out of ideas ?

try using ccleaner to clear out any detritus/ reboot / also, try disabling all add-ons in FF/ failing that too, remove FF entirely and reinstall. Opera 11 is a lovely alternative browser
