Is it when you put the kettle on at your new place, sit on a huge cardboard box squashing stuff that was marked 'Fragile' and dunk some Rich Tea biscuits into a cuppa?

Definately when contracts are exchanged. Not too worried about anything else. Though having the keys and opening the door to a new place is a pretty good feeling!

For me (fingers crossed for next Thursday...), it will be when the site manager has let us in, the removal men have gone, the cats have been unpacked and we have a takeaway on the way

Exchange of contracts. I know it could still go wrong, but that was the point we relaxed, went for a walk down the High Street, and felt the world had changed somehow. Nothing was a worry after that.Been away for a while.0
