Just thought I'd give you all fair warning - I rang the customer services number today and part way through the message it advises you that you are being charged £2 per minute!!! So although I then rang off and decided to go into the branch it has already cost me £2 for absolutely nothing. What a huge rip off - thanks Lloyds TSB!

What numbers did you call?
That's a premium rate tariff and to my knowledge, OFCOM prohibits any 0845 number from being billed at that rate.
If they really are charging 2 quid a minute for an 0845, I'd be making a complaing with OFCOM.0 -
As above, the 0845 number isn't allowed to charge that kind of rate. Also they offer a geographical number for from overseas, that starts +44. Just change the +44 to 0. I believe the dial code is actually 01733, which would match with the post above.
When I was on the phone to them the other day for something, I never got a message like that. They also gave me a free-phone number (for my particular issue) and I asked for a geographical as I was going out and would be on my mobile. They had absolutely no problem in giving me the geographical number. Not as green as I am cabbage looking0 -
I have also been told 'ring off and I'll ring you back' which means that you only pay the minimum. And the landline number works fine. When you get to the right departmen I have also been given a direct ordinary number.0

Agree, this isnt the case what so ever! Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0 -
We are phoning the bank here, not the Dancing on Ice vote lines!David
£1 of debt is too much for me!0 -
Lloyds don't do this, nobody does this. To my mind, no bank in the UK uses premium rate numbers to conduct business. Ever. It's a stupid idea.
OP, what number precisely were you dialling? It didn't happen to be the Loyds BTS telecontact line staffed by those lovely Nigerian people who want to know your security details, your card details and everything else about you, did it?urs sinserly,
