in Credit cards
Just wondering what others thoughts are.
I was thinking about applying for a 0% 16 mths credit card with MBNA Platinum but after reading their T&C's have changed my mind.
In their small print they state that if they reject you they have the right to pass your application around to other lenders who will also do a credit check. I don't want to risk multiple searches from unknown lenders so am not going ahead with it but just wonder what others think. Is this a standard clause that most cc companies use?
The T& C's state:
If your application is not accepted, we will assess your eligibility for a credit card or a different product issued by other lenders and may pass information about you to such lenders. To help them in establishing your eligibility for credit, they will also search your record at credit reference agencies.

Can't add much apart from thinking that this is not an ideal situation. But you knew that already.loveandlight wrote: »Come on guys. You are usually very sharp and on the ball. Isn't there anyone out there who knows anything about this? Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Why don't you read the terms and conditions of some other cards and see what they say? Then you can post back with the answer for others - somebody will have to read the T & C's!0

That's a lot of work if someone already knows something about the subject ...
