Changed my car - AA membership query

I've just changed my car. Not sure if my AA membership is on me or my registration number at the time. The AA FAQ dont seem to say and ringing them to ask just opens up another barrage of secondary selling. Can anyone advise?

You need to call them and change the reg number.

Phone them and check, it could be either.

If you've been a member for a while then it could be linked to your reg. My old AA membership was linked to a specific car.

I believe new memberships are linked to the person though and you can use it on any car so long as you are travelling in it.

My cover was on me, but they still asked for my registration when I signed up, and I called them to change my reg when I changed car also.

I've done this myself in the last two weeks.

I emailed them from https://www.theaa.com/common/contact_us_form.jsp giving them my new reg number and they sent me a new card with updated details.
