InterExec - good or bad idea for us 'normal' people?

Would you spend £35,000 to have a company approach head hunters on your behalf with no direct access to the hidden job market and no guarantee of a job in 12 months? It seems crazy that after paying all this money, you are still expected to approach head hunters yourself. So why the fee?0

Currently trying to get some of my money back, and it looks like I will have to take legal action to do so. Although they do not guarantee results, their complete failure to even organise a single client meeting was pathetic - to say the least.
It's a scam. All they do is send your CV to a bunch of recruiters. The process is not transparent and I have consistently had more success acting on my own.
Expensive mistake, but you live & learn.0 -
Stick around KSHyatt: this forum is a great place for exchanging information.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

I have posted this on the Q Investigations and Neon Models threads too. It looks quite useful, although this sort of thing has been going on for ever.
"Reporting scams
If you encounter any of the above scams you should report them to the following organisations:
1. Action Fraud (0300 123 2040)
2. Your local Trading Standards Office via Citizens Advice (08454 04 05 06)
3. Your local police station, using non-emergency number 101."

In the UK there is not a culture of the consumer directly paying fees or charges for services. I do not know why this is as in most other countries, people accept that if they ask someone to provide a service they are excepted to pay that person or firm directly. In most countries if you use the services of a bank, you pay the bank a fee for doing so, if you use the services of a financial adviser, you pay the financial advisor directly, if you the services of a recruitment agent you pay the recruitment agency directly etc. etc. In this country this is seldom the case. Of course in the end the consumer actually pays indirectly for all these services.
I am afraid it is just a rather unique system that has built up here. I would not try to kick against it.0 -
If you pay for a service, you expect to get something for your money. Taking huge sums from people and giving them the impression that there is a vast number of hidden jobs available seems like a big con to me.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

the matter is NOT paying or not a service.
The matter here is that there is an individual that sells you a service, you pay in advance and then you don't receive what has been agreed
Ah we have gone off topic to discuss a different matter. The original post is querying why more services are not paid for by the person seeking the job rather than by the employer.0 -
I think Mistral001 has a specific interest on this topic, one of his posts has already been deleted here
I read the topic: "good or bad idea for us 'normal' people?" Knowing what happened to actual customers could help, couldn't it?
Read the original post and not just the title of the thread.0 -
My name is Nicolas, I’m VP in an International corporation.
I have been client of this company and I decided to stand up against them, since, in my opinion, their conduct is not ethical.
Here is my personal email, in case anyone would like more information about my experience: nicolasainte@gmail.com0
