Claiming cashback from Moneyexpert.com

Hi

Has anyone had difficulty claiming cashback from the above website?

I took out car insurance and followed the instructions to wait 14 days and then claim the refund via a screen on their site.

I lodged a query on their site (it's a 'live' helpdesk) but have gotten nowhere in 2 days:

    I had a similar experience when I switched my gas and electricity through them to Scottish Power; they promised a £70 cashback. After much chasing they told me there was no record that I had switched through them, (despite the 'click history') and they tried to tell me that Scottish Power said their records showed I had gone through another cashback site (greasy palm) that I'd never even heard of. To be sure I visited that site and of course when I clicked the 'forgotten password' link, turned out they had no record of me. Then suddenly £40 cashback was mysteriously credited to me. It's no the first time I've lost cashback because the retailer "apparently" says they have no record that I went through them (again on that occasion I'd raised a reminder as a record of the transaction).

    I am just on the verge of purchasing car insurance through SimplySwitch/MoneyExpert.com, so that I can receive the £25 cashBack.

    Can you, or anyone else, tell me if MoneyExpert are a legitimate site or not?, i.e. are people getting the £25 as advertised?

  • I have had the same problem, have emailed, tried ringing all to no avail. I am starting to think the whole thing is a scam and should be reported to Watchdog or the like! I took my policy out in February still never received cashback and its the principle of the whole thing!

    Have you had your money from Moneyexpert yet? I am waiting for a reply to a query regarding owed cashback which I raised on June 10th.
    I have used Quidco in the past and haven't had any problems with them although I know some have.

    Same here. I still have not received cash back from moneyexpertcashback.com for car insurance starting in march. I'm starting to think this site is a scam. I only used them because they were recommended by mse:

    moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/compare-cheap-car-insurance

    I think the admins need to either look into this or take the link off mse.

    If anyone finds a phone number for moneyexpertcashback.com please post.
