As a relatively new member, I find some of the posts on MSE to be a bit too touchy-feely for my taste.

But I was struck by the quality of dancingfairy's contributions to this thread.

Simple, informed, and to the point.

    Give her(?) a medal.

Oh, she's already got two - must be why.

Okay all. Sorry if I've come across as ungrateful at all. I've read so much advice on this website prior to actually posting my SOA that my head is full of mostly probably bad advice.

Dancing Fairy - I'm not dismissing everything you've said. It's probably the same as I said above. I've read these things that are being seen as "obstacles" and I'm simply thinking them out loud. (or in text if you will).

I have managed to clear the payday loans today thanks to getting some help from a friend and this leaves me so much better off per month (approx £150 p/m).

I am much happier with my situation now and believe that I can start to get towards a solution and a debt free future.

Thanks to everyone for their comments and advice.

That's excellent news. But try and update your SOA (you don't have to post it here, but just for your own benefit, to help you budget and prioritise)

Again, great news - onwards and upwards from here

Get rid of your debt mate and don't ever get yourself in that state again - i personally hate debt, it's just all stress - if i want something that does not cost too much i may throw it on a cc and pay it off in full before the end of the month just to give myself a bit of history to get the decent cards on the market, if i want something that costs thousands i just do it the good old way by saving up for it.

It's not worth it, enjoy life without all the stress... =)
