Relocate rising main?

Hi all,
We are about to have a single storey extension across the back of the house (8.5m by 3m).
Part of this is to relocate the kitchen to the other side.
My question :- do we need to move the rising main?
My thinking is that because the current feed comes in under the suspended floor, it could remain there and then we could have pipework run across to the other side where the new kitchen is.
Of course, my thinking could be flawed! Any views welcome

If you move it to the other side its no different to extending it from its present location. You're still running pipework so I don't understand the logic behind the question TBH.

Providing the existing entry point of the rising main is in a position that you can accept then no problem. The main does not have to enter below the sink. However if you are considering extending the mains pipework below the suspended floor I would probably think again as you really need an accessible stopcock as soon as practicable to the entry . In such a situation you would also have to consider insulation if it is a ventilated void below the suspended floor. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! Fair question.
I currently tap off the feed in the current kitchen to supply the relocated C/H boiler and washing machine. Since this is all under the floor I wanted to minimise the change where possible.0 -
So you've already done it by all accounts. I don't see the problem.I currently tap off the feed in the current kitchen to supply the relocated C/H boiler and washing machine. Since this is all under the floor I wanted to minimise the change where possible.
