All those talked about so far do seem to be a scam, but it does make me wonder if I could earn more doing some home-work. E.g. I'm a genius with Excel, and seem to get through data jobs twice as fast as anyone else (then I come surfing here), but I do wonder if other companies had small jobs needed doing, but can't justify a part time or temp person.0

Theres a few websites like PeoplePerHour and Freelancer that (I assume) are self employed people or small businesses who may need help as a one off (designing a website, transferring data to a new excel sheet ./ database etc, research jobs) Have a nosey around and see. I know of a few people who use these to get occasional work, but none use for a main job, and I suspect theres a good reason why!0

Excel jobs come up a lot on Odesk. If you are fast then the rates could be quite attractive. Sure I saw a thread on these forums where someone had used them and was quite happy.0 -
Binnie, I did the same as you and signed up for automated profits but I am still waiting for my money to be refunded.
I also did a silly thing and paid £10 for a 'training' pack for a job which was supposed to be data entry but all it is is placing an advert on free websites saying that its a data entry job and then you tell people that it costs £10 to cover the training pack. Complete con! That is a coincidence as I had been looking at these sites today, they are getting more and more popular, well in the advertising side.
I think they are a con to be honest, especially when they charge up front.
A few months ago, I signed up for automated profits and stupidly paid quite a hefty fee. Then when I was leaving the page, it came up with a pop up box saying, "Special offer only one left" and sold me something else. In the end, I think I purchased £70 worth of information.
The pack was some free links on e-books and all I had to do was name a price for them, submit them to search engines and wait for people to buy the E-book. The information was on diets, tatoos, and allsorts of American stuff.
I panicked and not long after I put in a dispute with paypal and got all my money back.
Now if they are calling it data entry instead I'm not sure, but there were tons of this stuff advertised on a local radio stations website today.
I almost fell for it again, then it all started looking familiar.Debt with StepChange - updated total to followProud to be dealing with my debt - DFW no 6570 -
Anyone know of a good way to make an extra £200.00 per week. I already have a full time job. I start at 7.30am and finish at 6.15 PM.The money is pretty bad at the moment so I have a bit of a shortfall. I have been looking at data entry jobs as something to do of an evening but have heard of all the scams.0
