Tesco Clubcard vouchers @ Goldsmiths

First post be gentle... :D

I wonder if anyone works in Goldsmiths Jewellers here at all, they maybe able to answer a question.

I have a £330 Tesco Club card voucher which I have exchanged for £990 in goldsmiths vouchers.

Unlike the Tesco voucher the Goldsmiths is only valid for 6months.

THE IDEA
If I was to purchase an item for £990 and return it how would I recieve my return.

Would it be in the form of a a Goldsmith gift card?
If yes, would the gift card be valid for 2years?
Or am I totally wrong?

I've tried reading goldsmiths "returns" link but it doesn't appear to answer my questions.

Thank you for reading

Mark

I woudl think that purchasing anything from a Goldsmiths shop would mean you are stuck with it, there is no automatic refund if a buyer changes their mind and jewellery is usually one area where this rule is enforced.

Different of course if you buy online.

  • you cannot refund at all when paying for something from goldsmiths with tesco vouchers unfortunately, there is only the 30 day exchange policy which applies here.

how much are you looking to save and how long do you think it would take you to save the difference? To be fair, the tesco vouchers should be seen as a discount rather than free cash as it is pretty difficult to get the full amount to pay for anything too expensive in full.. but if you give me a clearer picture of what you are realistically aiming for then i may be better able to advise you.
