Auction ended by E-bay!

I'm fairly new to 'adventures' on E-bay but have quietly built up a positive feedback of 30 ( not in there with the 'big guns' I admit but feeling quite pleased with my first fumblings anyway!!).
I decided to auction a vintage Pan Am Junior Clipper Stewardess badge I'd acquired, having seen the success with which they sold. Within 24 hours of listing I received an e-mail containing the word 'police' ( 'knock me down with a feather' comes to mind) and informing me that my auction had been ended because of security implications and my fees would be credited to my account!!
Apparently I had contravened some rule or another and although they valued my business(?) they were forced to delete the item and issue an ever-so- polite warning saying that if I darkened their doorstep with similar listings I would be suspended!!
I replied that I had absolutely no idea that I'd been sailing so close to the wind since similar items had been auctioned successfully within the last week and I expressed my surprise that this had happened!
Apparently E-bay don't police auctions themselves but rely on 'friendly' members to do it for them! Now, I can understand the 'police' badge rule etc but feel I now have a 'strike' against me for no reason. I also believe there is a 'Neville-with-a-notebook' out there ready to devote his time to scuppering your auction!!
Beware! A Neville can 'strike' at any time!!!

probably because of the anti terrorist thing.
Although Ive got no idea what a junior clipper is
Is it a badge that stewardesses wear?0 -
if it is the same badge as currently worn by working air stewardess's, i can understand ebay's nervousness
if it isnt, can you get some sort of letter stating so......smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Ive had similar happen to me before. Id just put it down to a rival seller. Im not sure id risk reselling the same item again tho!0

Forget the badges. Get some non-authentic looking stewardess uniforms (cough, splutter) made up. I'm sure that they'd sell like hot cakes.
What was the company name on the tv program Mile High - "Fresh Air" was it?
The Sky's the limit. (Unless SKY sues as well)[ Eat, Drink and be Merry - for tomorrow we get the bill ]0 -
