I haven't been around very long but I have stopped buying takeaways apart from the very odd occasion which is saving me money.
I cook and bake majority of the time from home.
My freezer and cupboards are always bulging.
I have a better plan in place for this winter.
We use more jumpers/blankets and thick socks instead of the heating.
I haven't bought anything full price for a while (apart from food) which means we can have nicer things as well as me saving money.
We do more home activities rather than going out all the time. My LO loves going for a walk through the woods or on the bus just for a nose round the shops without spending.
I analyse what I'm buying do I really need it etc and normally prefer to keep my money.
Everyone eats better and there's always something snacky in to eat.
The house is always clean and tidy (it was before but still lol) and I use less cleaning materials.
I've started knitting and sewing again which makes clothes last longer.
This board has allowed me to do mainly the food things, when I've had a question it's always answered quickly and well. It's lovely that people give up their time to answer my innane questions.
I've saved a lot of money which has allowed me to drive down the credit card I have and also putting extra money away for my winter plan. I LOVE the OS boardCredit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

Since I became an active poster on this site, I have found a new lease of life.
My top 5 achievements so far are:
Reducing my weekly food shopping costs by at least 1/3rd.
Using my BM for all bread making, meaning for the 1st time in 4 years I am able to eat bread without being ill.
Setting my self a leftovers challenge each week means my rubbish has also been reduced by at least 1/2.
Using E Bay to reduce my clutter and give me spending money for my looming holiday (next week).
Reading more and spending less.
My next 5 aims are:
To join in the GC, instead of lurking, watching and keeping my savings to myself.
Start a sealed pot challenge (after hols).
Step up my decluttering.
Move house.

I have to say I agree with alot of you that I have seen a big change in myself, I still have my stressy moments but feel much happier generally and my home is usually in a good enough state to have visitors anytime rather than it being a mad rush.
I do still go crazy when we have overnight guests tho and clean everything in sight
I clean my kitchen every morning and make my bed as soon as I get out of it(this one might be from flylady .net)
I have also become sooooo much better at decluttering.
Since setting myself a saving challenge I very rarely go 'random' shopping - I used to be a 'ten bag' kinda girl everytime I left the house.
Oh I always use my leftovers now too.
