Peugeot 306 Wiper motor replacement
Hi Guys,
I think I need a replacement motor for my wear windscreen wiper, it only seems to want to work periodically and that only seems to be when it's warm.
I can source the part myself, either via ebay motors or a breakers yard, but does anyone know how much it would cost to have it replaced?
I have the Haynes Manual but to be honest because I know nothing at all about the internal workings of cars and it appears to involve needing to jack the car up, i'm looking for a mechanic to do it.
Thanks!

Surely the rear wiper motor is in the tailgate? A couple of screws/clips and you'll be able to see all the workings by taking the interior cover off. The same happened on my old 106 and that was very straight forward.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. The Hayne's manuals love to go OTT with certain things and then not go into enough detail on others.......
Like disconnecting the battery just to be able to remove something daft like the radio or washer bottle pump.
I had a 306 and can't see any reason why it needs lifting to change a wiper motor..... Unless theirs a connector for it somewhere under the car. I have the Hayne's too, so I might check that later! lol
The only thing I will say is that Peugeot design their interiors so that removing panels will probably require a visit to a dealership for new clips..... A garage will probably just glue it back together.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Wasn't there another thread about this a while back, after someone got pulled over for a wiper hanging off.
Turned out the wiper motor is held on by pop rivets IIRC. This makes it a bit harder.0 -

It's certainly not hanging off. Just doesn't move at all. I had to use a tea towel to clear it this morning so I had decent vision.I am a Mortgage Adviser

I realise that, but the end result of the thread was she needed to replace the motor as it was broken and needed replacing.0

easy.....
Remove the wiper arm... either 10mm or 13mm nut (poss might be push on tho).
Unscrew the wiper spindle nut (carefull as it passes through the glass)
open the boot
Under about 4 "torx" screws (about T6 OR T8)
Then you'll see the motor... pull off the washer tube
Disconnect the wire plug
Undo the two 10mm bolts and start to withdraw, you'll need a little screw driver to move a lug slightly and remove!
Its dead easy when you start digging0
