Hyde Park Corner Installations - Anyone had problems with them?

Hi everyone

Has anyone had problems with Hyde Park Corner Installations, a company that installs, among other things, audio and other equipemnent in vehicles? Did they sort them out quickly?

About 16 months ago I bought rear Steelmate parking sensors with a fitting voucher - the fitting to be done by Hyde Park Corner who, I now find, did a terrible job. Among the many problems were:
A hole was drilled in the boot floor for the cables running from the control unit to the sensors. No grommet was fitted, so water can splash up onto the boot floor, and the cables are rubbing against the bare metal.
The power cable for the system was tapped into the cars wiring by wrapping the wires round bared cables - no solder was used to ensure sound electrial connections. The bared wires were "insulated" with tape, which has now slipped to reveal the bare wire.
When I complained to Hyde Park Corner they seemed totally indifferent to the problems. They told me to contact the retailer. (The retailer had already said they would not fix the system as their guarantee had expired) My two letters to the Managing Director, [TEXT REMOVED BY FORUM TEAM], were totally ignored.
I am advised that, legally, the retailer is liable, so I have started the legal process to try to get recompence.

I now wish I had paid a bit more and had the job done by a Toyota agent.

Oh yes, more than once. The first time I used them, I was let down three times through cancellations from them. The job took over a month to complete. I put this down to a one off to my downfall.
The second time again three cancellations as the enigineers cancelled at the last minute, when days taken off work as they could not say if it would be an AM or PM call when booked. Complaints made to a so called supervisor called [TEXT REMOVED BY FORUM TEAM] , who was soooo rude and unsympathetic. Many letters sent to the MD called [TEXT REMOVED BY FORUM TEAM] , went unanswered. Not once did the supervisor say SORRY or did the engineer who turned up to do the job, apologise for all the cancellations in the past. I will not use them again or recommend them to anyone unless they were desperate.

Nice of you to join up to tell us that.;)

Hi, as a now ex employe of Hyde park corner I can understand where you are coming from.

The staff at Hyde park are not all bad but there are some who are, as for [TEXT REMOVED BY FORUM TEAM] who only care's about the money and not the customer, I used to go out of my way to help people at that company and got no thanks.

The engineers are pushed to get as many jobs in as they can in the day traveling upto 400 mile a day in a round trip, and if you can't do that then your no good at Hyde park corner.

The manager at Hyde park is called [TEXT REMOVED BY FORUM TEAM] who has no idea how to run the business and try's to do everything himself.

How this company still have the contracts they have is beyond me! If you want my advice don't use them, you will be better of in the long run.

I also was an ex-employe of Hyde Park Corner installations These people have no morals!!! As said above they will cram twice as many jobs that can physically be completed into your daily diary and as also said above, you are no good to them if you can't!! This leaves countless customers waiting all day everyday for engineers that will not turn up as it is past the amount of hours we are expected to work each day! The worst part is is that the engineers are made to feel guilty for cancelling jobs that should not have been place on their diary in the first place. I warn both customers and future employes of this company and in particular the director [TEXT REMOVED BY FORUM TEAM] !
Put simply, [TEXT REMOVED BY FORUM TEAM] is a thief and a liar. And frankly the biggest price of scum I have ever had the misfortune of crossing paths with. He bullies people into doing whatever he says and will threaten you with your job if you don't say how high when he says jump! He lies about the job when you start and then builds and builds pressure on you till you have to say something at which point you are sacked and then offered your job back days later.. The same thing happens over and over again!

After refusing to do 3 15 Hour days in a row my contract was terminated without notice or proper reason and I am now having to go to court to obtain the £3000+ that this company owes me as wages! I warn again.. STAY WELL AWAY!

If any employees have difficulties with this company and need someone to come to court for a statement pm me as I would be happy to help!.

This company should not be operating!

Maybe tell people where you are? Alternatively, try this:
