my 27 week old daughter, has just started sleeping through the night in the last week.
She was breast fed for 3 months, wasn't gaining weight, she also had terrible colic, had latch etc checked, I had the milk, I could easily express, but my milk mustn't have been up to it and she did feed for long periods, I couldn't relax.
At 11 weeks she was still not back to birth weight (luckily she was 10lb 7oz at birth), we ended up switching to formula at 12 weeks and she's now around the 96th percentile at 21lbs.
she wasn't ready to be weaned until about 3 weeks ago, wasn't interested what so ever!
I do wish (looking back) that I had managed to have that 24 hours just with her, feeding her, perhaps when my hubby was off at the weekend. That sounds like a good idea. Is there anyone who could have your 1st son for a day and night?
Glad you're feeling a bit more positive about it :)
