If you want to stay with BG why not check out the Websaver and Online Saver. Alternatively put your consumption into a comparison site.

Last week i signed up to the best deal i could find BG websaver 11 calculated the prices of capped contracts was just to high .
However the worlds energy market changed with events in Japan and i have now swapped to BG capped 2012 price that was offered to those whose cap runs out this month .

just went on to BG site
did an estimate with £800 annual gas and £400 annual electric = £1200 estimate (need to check when i dig up paper work)

but websaver11 was cheapest with £934.41

i currently pay cash quartely bill, the above quote is monthly direct debit fixed?

Almost all the best deals are on monthly DD. Rule out that option and you filter out most of the cheapest tariffs. Entirely your choice.
