It has the extension so I think square footage will be similar. And the three bed house - one bed original bed has been split in two has it? You don't normally get four rooms upstairs and 4'3" does not constitute a bedroom!
I think it's going to cost more effort and time than the price difference to start getting towards the standard of the renovated one. It isn't just a lick of paint job, I can understand why they haven't re-pointed next door's wall but tried to tidy it.
The cheaper house has textured wallpaper - a sure sign that the plaster underneath is going to fall off when you steam it. Expensive. Plus the new bathroom, new woodwork, doing the garden (although decking isn't cheap, the 2 bed will no doubt be crap concrete underneath too)
Cheaper one was bigger to start with, look at the upstairs windows on photo 17 it extends over the alley way.
Then look at the downstairs window, there's been some work there, replacing the previous window with a wider one, I 'd want that checked out.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. He's dropped it £3k in under a month. Don't think many people were interested in that price but he hasn't dropped it much to make a difference - clearly holding out for his profit. He's spent quite a bit on it; whether he's overspent....
I haven't looked at the selling prices for the street - they're all pretty similar, you should get an idea.
I do think it compares favourably to the other one, but whether they are both optimistic? I can't imagine the Preston property market is currently booming.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
