After being plagued with occasional bluescreens (maybe once a week or 2) since installing an ATI card, and knowing my C drive was getting a bit full (only 10Gb free out of the 60Gb), and that a lot of that was games and associated junk, I 've known a clean install was on the cards one day soon.
Today I completely failed to update the ATI driver, resulting in blackscreens (no input) and decided enough was enough.
Just to show that a format doesn't have to be the end of the world
