Money Saving Tip for the recipient... write on the customs label that the value of the goods is minimal (maybe £20) and write on the packaging that the goods are second hand and of no commercial value. That way the recipient shouldn't have to pay to pick it up.
15-20kg is a lot to post! You're probably best contacting DHL and trying to sweet talk your way to a discount.
Another moneysaving idea, no idea if it's appropriate but does the charity need what you are sending, can they not get it locally? Because if they can surely the money from the goods (and the heavy postage costs) could be better spent by them in other ways.
Sorry if none of this is appropriate to your situation but just some ideas....OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0
