NPower Boiler Insurance - HELP!!

Looking for some advice please about boiler insurance with NPower as so far I seem to be paying for a service I'm not receiving!!!!

Having a problem with my boiler following it's service. I have hot water but no heat - it's a potterton puma 80e if that makes any difference.

I called last Thursday and was told I would get a call back with an appointment time with the contractor - no call back.

Called again on Friday and this time the adviser put me on hold and came back to say the contractor had book me in for a repair on Monday.

Monday came and went, no one turned up. Called again Monday evening to be told the contractor hadnt booked me in properly so it wasnt NPower's fault and that another appointment would be made on Wednesday.

I got a call back yesterday so say the appointment was going ahead but you've guessed it, no ones turned up and it's freezing!!!

I'm just looking for some advice on how to tackle this. So far I've spend an hour on the phone to them on my mobile and had two days off work yet no one has even looked at the boiler never mind repair it.

Does anyone have any ideas, already been through this with them or even know what my rights are - ie how long should I be left with no heating etc.

Thanks - sorry it's a rant but I'm fit to spit!

  • Hi

What do your terms and conditions say about how quick they will come out and repair your boiler? I know this won't help you but i have boiler etc cover with British Gas and as soon as i report a problem more often than not they come out within 4 hours but certainly the same day. If this was identified when your boiler was serviced then it should have been repaired at the same time unless the engineer didn't have the part with him, then it would have been sorted the following day. One thing is for certain you are not getting the service that would be expected for the money you are paying.

If i was you i would ring and ask to speak to management. Do you have children or a disability? Regardless of that you are getting very poor service, its cold right now and you are not getting what they are taking your money for. If this is the type of service they offer they won't keep many customers for long, i would kick up a fuss with them and keep ringing them until it is sorted. I would certainly be looking for another company to look after my boiler if i was in your position, its nothing short of shabby service.

Its not good enough and you certainly shouldn't have to keep taking time off work for them to continually let you down. It makes me so cross:mad: when suppliers are allowed to get away with things like this. They would soon be jumping up and down if you didn't pay them!!! Don't let them get away with it!!!:mad::mad:

    Good luck

    Hi Debs0778

I'm so sorry to hear about this and I'm really disappointed to see that you've had to continually chase up for any information or action.

I would like to flag this to someone senior within the business - would you mind sending your details to fourmresponse@npower.com and I can then make sure it is looked into immediately?

    Best Wishes

I would go to British Gas, been with them for years and never been let down once. Think yjey use all their own employees rather than contractors.
I do not work for them.
