Whats to do near Liverpool Street station?

My nephew is meeting up with his girlfriend at Liverpool Street Station (she has to get train back same evening)and just said to me he couldnt think what they could do in that area - nor can I? Any recommendations please?

There's a travelodge close to the station.
Note that they usually charge a tenner to let you use the room from noon instead of the usual 3.00 pm check in time, but might do you a deal if you were going to vacate it by teatime.0 -
