Would anyone still buy a house with oil central heating?

How much was the gas to put in? My LL says they wanted £20k to put gas on here even though it runs down the middle of the street.
Since my last message we've bought an electric oil-circulating radiator using spare Nectar points (so it was free). It costs 20p an hour to run flat out but we've run it on the middle setting and it clicks on and off so probably a lot less than that. This rad can comfortable heat the living room and we shift it about as necessary if the bedroom is a bit chilly. Rest of the house can stay cold, we never spend enough time in it.0 -
I heat a big house with oil, and like others I have leant to buy at sensible times of the year
Obviously, I supplement with wood
However, the house at the end of the road had a quote for gas a few years back, and he is on the main road, and it was £60k
No way it would ever pay for itself0 -
Good luck if you move in to the countryside as most of us have oil granted a few have an lpg gas tank but most have not.0
