Internal or External decoration first...

I have bought a property that requires a bit of work. Inside it requires a new kitchen and bathroom, then just general tidying up etc. (Wallpapering and carpets) Internally the property is easily of a high enough standard to live here - the interior is just dated. (70's in places...)
Externally the property is half rendered. (Top half) The rendering is quite old, and by the looks of it is cracking in places.
The question is, is it worth getting the external rendering done before I start work on the inside, as I wouldn't want to finish inside, for it then to be damaged when the current render is chipped off.
I can't decide what is for the best - start doing the kitchen and bathroom, or get the outside sorted - has anyone been in a similar situation?

Always make sure your property is wind and water tight before anything else. A you said, the interior is livable. There is no point doing the inside if the exterior is in a poor state and likely to let water in.
Then you can do the interior at your leisure.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
