Insurer cancelling policy?

I have had a full comp policy on my car for about 2 months now with first central insurance. Have been driving for about 3 years but have 2 years no claims as obviously not quite got to 3 years driving yet. Never had an accident.
Insurer has been hassling for proof of no claims bonus and have sent off the relevent policy numbers etc but their saying my previous insurer (ecar) are refusing to talk to them as it was a different car/address etc and so first central are now cancelling my policy?!
Is there anything i can do. I cant really contact ecar (upwards of £1 a minute) have contacted first central on various occasions but their just telling me there is nothing they can do
Many thanks

Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.

Have you actually earned 2 years NCD? (ie Have you had two complete years of motor insurance in your own name?)0

If you got a renewal notice from your previous insurer, it would normally state on that how many years no claims you would be entitled to.A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove you don't need it.0

What documentation do you actually have?
Did you keep emails they sent you?
Are you aware you can login to their site and get all your documents?
They are an on-line company.
I suggest you get your password from your emails, login and see what documents you have, also check the paper ones they sent you.
If you haven't got what you need then email them.
They are an on-line company and work through email and not phone.0 -
The onus is invariably on the customer to provide the proof of NCD. Companies are getting increasingly hot on this being provided quickly and accurately. To be fair to them they have quoted on the basis of what you told them so suspect you'll need to persist with contacting e car0
