Kitchen units-cheapest/best place for painted wooden units?

I'm after the Harvey Jones painted shaker kitchen look, but cheaper, much, much cheaper!

I like the look of the Wickes Heritage range - but it is also quite pricey, does anyone have a top tip of somewhere else to go for something like this? Veneered inside panels are fine, but I'd like the main thing to be wood, carcasses presumably all mdf-ish.

Does anyone know if going for more of a local craftsperson, rather than a big mainstream company work out more or less? Any top tips - in South West.

I saw a company called K collection - any good?

In terms of quality I've been happy with ikea before.
Also, do you think it's usually cheaper to get a local builder/carpenter to fit?
Thanks for any help!
