Quite a few posters on here (but not me, incidentally) have this card and recommend it. You are correct in seeing no mention of a fee; there is none. Just make sure you have an alternative card for those places which do not accept AmEx.Hi there,

Hi
Yes, I applied but for the visa card. Very easy and very quick to say "congratulations your application has been successful", only to be followed with "Offer no longer available"!!
Very strange....

Hi, anyone else have any experience with the application? thinking of appying for it, does anyone know the criteria to get this card? also are students eligible?0

Well, the MBNA criteria can't be too strict IMO. I got turned down recently by the Co-op for one of their cards (which I was only applying for to give a donation to the RSPB!). Then I applied for the AA card, to get back to a bit of stoozing after a long break, & got accepted. When I saw this MBNA cashback card I decided to go for it then realised that the AA card had also been a MBNA card... b[]gger... and thought my chances of getting it would be slim. But, no. They took into consideration the £6800 c/limit they'd given me on the AA card & have 'only' given me £2500 on this amex card but I think that'll be plenty since it'll only be used for supermarkets & petrol.Expect the worst & hope for the best...0
