    How far outside seven days?

Did you buy at a distance?
I.e. online, by phone or mailorder?
If so, then Distance Selling Regulations allow you seven working days, starting with the day after delivery, to cancel the order.

If you are outside that time limit, or didn't buy at a distance, then you are reliant on the policy of whoever sold it to you and anything they said or wrote at the time of sale.

Then you reliant on the goodwill of the retailer and/or any T&Cs they have in place regarding returns.

Dell have no goodwill, so you are stuck with it.

Well if it isn't faulty and just a change of mind then Dell really have no insentive to accept it.

Its an instant loss for them as they can not sell it as new, only as a refurb or strip it for parts...

So unfortunately, it is yours to keep, if you really dont want it, try to sell it asap while its holding optimal value?
