Amex "Basic Card"

Options
I see Amex (http://www.americanexpress.com/uk/basic-card/) are doing a Basic Card chargecard with no annual fee.

Is this just like a credit card, that you have to pay off in full each month, or are them some super-duper reasons to have one? What's the appeal over, say, a bog standard credit card?

    No pre-set spending limit
    Might be appealing.

It would be worth checking to see if charge cards are covered by section 75 (I think its section 75 for refunds/joint liability etc)

I don't think they are. You do have to be disciplined with a charge card as well.
