** sorry the !!! in the tital I didnt realiser if i wrote a s s (together) it blocked it out)**
good evening all, i'm sorry if i'm posting in the wrong forum but i havent a clue where the question would go.
We live in a housing association house which is curently a 2 double bed but it use to be 3 double bed for whatever previous reason they changed it (if use to be a younge offenders house before we moved in) and the bathroom was situated downstairs.
My question is does anyone know of anyone of if you've been given permission by the housing !!! to change/alter/move rooms in your home? I've heard of people being aloude to knock through rooms but didnt know as anything like this I didnt want to write to them and look stupid without doing some homework first.
Another idea was to go up into the loft space the house was built in 1905 so has an amazing loft space all the neighbours have gone up in the loft, I mean its not something we want to do straight away maybe in about 7-8years (haha plenty of time to save up) but we dont plan on moving and I thought if we were paying for it (also adding value to their property)
Any advice would be great thank you

The rules may change in 7-8 years, but anyway ...
You can normally carry out improvements and alterations subject to relevant permissions being sought - from the HA or the councils planning and building regs depts
The HA can't withhold permission without good reason - eg structural or safety concerns0
