Insurance for previously underpinned property

Evening all,
Could anyone please provide some assistance on this issue?
We are in the middle of purchasing a property that had ‘’partial underpinning’’ carried out to a rear elevation of the property in 2002/2003 and exchange of contracts is imminent and I need to get structural insurance in place prior to this happening.
Got a mortgage and now trying to source buildings insurance, has any one had a similar issue and how did you get around it.
I have a survey, think it is a home buyer’s report type that indicates there is previous underpinning but no actions required on this as well as a certificate from the council saying the work was carried out to the correct building requirements relevant at the times..
Tried many insurers but have had most doors closed every time they hear the word ‘’ underpinning’’ and I am not prepared to lie.
I know I am going to get some harsh words and yes the property is worth it, but any constructive advice about home insurance providers that will cover underpinning will be a great help.

    what was the cause of the damage that resulted in the underpinning? this could have a baring on what insurers may accept.

    Do the vendors currently have buildings insurance? as usually they would agree to continue to cover subject to you meeting the u/w criteria etc.

    Might be worth talking to a specialist broker.

    It's not one of my areas, to be honest, but I know Towergate offer it via intermediaries.
