Balance transfer

Can anyone advise me if I can transfer my sons Nat West credit card balance on a not yet opened credit card in my name to enable him to pay off his debt on a free balance transfer but in mt name.

Once your new card is open you can do this.

Once you transfer it to your card its your debt.

Is this true? I thought you couldnt transfer balances into another persons name?

Yes you can transfer a balance to anothers name (you do not get asked for the name on the card you are transferring from - just the long number usually). Although you have to remember it becomes your debt then.
