New car purchase & finance options

Hi

I am looking to purchase a new Audi Q5 and I am looking for any tips on 1, getting the best deal from garage, and 2 best finance options out there? I am thinking PCP, rather than HP! Does anyone have any tips.

I have looked at various websites claiming to get a better deal than local garage, has anyone had any experience of this?

Try these "Broadspeed"

I googled them and apparently, they offer better deals on new cars than an Audi dealer

uknewcars.com have the 2.0tdi 143 SE Start/Stop for £28375 which is a saving of £1990, thats from What Car's latest issue. Target price in What car is from £26728 to £38900 for the base to highest spec car.

Are you buying because of the Audi badge or is there another main reason for going for that car?

These are similar prices a customer should be able to achieve if they deal direct with the dealer.

There are a number of methods you should consider, but it will very much depend on what you want to achieve at the end of the finance term. If you have no desire to continue owning/keeping the vehicle after the three years are up (if that is the term you are considering) you might want to consider contract hire. This can include servicing and maintenance, including tyres etc., road fund licence paid and no MOT worries at the end. You also don't have to worry about part-exchanging it at the end, you just get a new car and start again.

You could chose a PCP. This way you will have the option to purchase the car outright at the end of the term and there is a chance you will have some value at the end, but it is not guaranteed. What is guaranteed though, is that it will not fall below a specific preset value, but that amount is also the final payment. So, if the car is worth ten thousand pounds and the GMFV is twelve thousand pounds, you can just walk away with no more commitment to the car. If it is fourteen thousand pounds, you have two thousand pounds to put towards a new car. Or, you could just pay off the twelve thousand pounds and keep it. You could purchase a service and maintenance plan, but they tend to be more expensive and restrictive compared to contract hire and not always as comprehensive.

Ok, so I contacted Broadspeed! Soooo unhelpfull! I asked for a price and he basically told me to go back and check website! So defo not dealing with them. I always change my car after 3 years, so not fussed about owning it at the end. I previously bought an x5 on HP and car lost so much money. So I am happy to hand it back if I have made minimum payments on it. Didnt know you could lease a private car, thought that was just companys. Will look into that. Cheers again!

They put you in touch with a franchise dealer, and you deal directly with them.

Prices are reckoned to be quite keen, so it saves all that haggling which you laydeez are supposed to find daunting.

The site's been going for years and is reckoned to be reliable, but that hardly matters because you don't pay them any money.

Ive used broadspeed before (and drive the deal), have always found them pretty good....all things being equal and prices being same would use drivethedeal to buy next car.
