Address Question / Childcare Question

I have just moved out of temporary accommodation into a house share with a friend which we are hoping to do for about 6 months before I find somewhere to live alone. All my post has remained at my home address whilst I have been in temporary accommodation. However, I will be claiming housing benefit at my new property.
I was wondering if I need to contact my bank / credit card providers / work etc.... and have my address amended to my new address even though I only expect to be there for 6 months? Or can I keep it all under my parents address? I am worried about the confusion when I go to housing benefit and update them with my new pay (when I go back to work) and its all under my parents address not my address.
Also, I am claiming working tax credit and child tax credit and am due to put my son into nursery in May. How do I go about claiming for that? I am worried as I need to pay his fees in advance on a monthly basis and am not sure if childcare tax credit pays in advance or in arrears.
Thank You

As long as you are working 16hours plus you can claim some help with childcare costs. You can only notify them 7 days in advance so if you have fees to pay up front before your child starts you will need to pay this yourself before you get it back

Agree with the tax credits info above.
When I moved out from my ex partners into temp accomodation I left all my post at his address as I didn't want to risk any important information going into a house that is subject to a variety of people, I received post for previous tenants all the time. I never had a problem with it at all.
When I moved here some of my stuff was still at my exs address but I think it's all changed over now and I claim LHA in this place and it's never been a problem either.
If it's only 6months I don't see why it would cause any problem with your claims apart from tax credits/DWP as it may cause problems with them.Credit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

For HB if you just let them know that you still have mail sent to your parents address that should be fine.0
