Changing Glow Plugs
Comments

I see nothing wrong in replacing them in singles
But for peace of mind i'd change all 4 at the same time
Sod's law would mean you replace one today, have to do 2 next week etc
Do them all together as you would spark plugsIf Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0 -
Check them out with a multi meter and change as needed, or be anal and change the lot if one has gone.
These things are not critical, one or two gone make precious little difference in starting performance.
Remember once the car has started these are largely superfluous, and when up to temp are trully out of the equation.
;) I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Depends how long I'm expecting to have the car for.
Changed all in the wifes car (fixed nothing, so have 4 spares now), just changed the 2 faulty ones on my last Corsa.
Would also depend how easy they were to remove and replace.0 -
I changed all our's in the 106 when it would only start with easystart last winter.
None of them glowed when I put them across a battery, so that pretty much decided it.
I was tight, and used halfords own, as they were about £16 a set with the tradecard.
Otherwise I'd buy Beru.0 -
Thanks all.
All different views but all valid. Will try and get a multimeter on them. Hope it is number 1 as my understanding is that on the Cherokee they get progressively harder the further back you go.0 -
Thanks all.

Aren't you supposed to need a puller for the cherokee?
(The 106 is just a long socket, and they don't normally stick either)0 -
Thanks all.

The astra's are renowned for breaking as well though.0 -
I've had the other 3 out for testing, hopefully never have to go near it.0
