Iphone4 stops working!

I brought an Iphone4 on contract recently from 02. Randomly and quite often the button on the front stops working, and I have to turn it off and on again before I can do anything with it. This happens on a regular basis and it's getting rather tiring, not only that, but if I had to make a call in a hurry, turning it off and on again would make this a bit difficult.
I was intending on going to the 02 shop to ask if I could have a new one, as I have insurance, but a friend told me he had a problem with an old phone of his and 02 weren't very helpful. Any suggestions on how I should go about it? - Before I handle it I want to go about it the right way.
thanks in advance for any answers!

Hey Hollie
If the home button isn't working try an update first, if that dosn't work I'd look at getting it sorted.
If you take it to an O2 shop in the first 28 days the can exchange it, after that it has to be sent down to their repair centre though which is a 7-14 day wait.
However if you can get to an apple shop then go on the apple website, make an appointment to see a genius at the apple store and they will exchange it there and then anytime in its warranty period
Good luck
(Also the insurance is for acidental damage/loss/theft not so much warranty things)0 -
I'd take it direct to an Apple store if you have one nearby. They're likely to be much more helpful (and quick about it) than o2.0

Thank you everyone!
And I am taking it to get an update today, if that doesn't work I will have to go and see somebody. I hope the update works. I am not good with thins kind of thing. I absolutely love the phone but I didn't think I'd have to update it all the time, they never told me that in the 02 shop when I brought it.. Hm0
