Because the Regulator lets them. They should have their license withdrawn immediately to cease this activity.0 -
I've had these jokers at my door twice now since moving over to eon, saying the exact same rubbish about the germans.
Puts me right off ever going back to southern electric even if they are cheapest at some point in the future. In Progress!!!0 -

That german gas is terrible, since I started getting mine from france, my chips cook a lot quicker . . . honest.
Sometimes smells of garlic tho':rotfl:0 -
The point being that this dribble is given to them as part of their training. Someone in their Management has pushed this embarrassing strategy.:o
It's shameful that this ownership issue is used when its completely invalid in relation to any real purchasing decision.0 -
Hmm, Southern do inform new starters they don;t advertise. Not on TV maybe - but at least British Gas haven't been hauled up in front of the regulators for misselling. (they often use BGas as a comparison)0

Has anyone else experienced the latest door to door Hard Sell from Southern Electric. For about the third time within six months we have been visited by this company, as the person previously at our address once used them.
Dispite telling them within seconds that I'm not interested in changing companies they persisted in ranting at me about there deals.
Their latest technique seems to be dam right rude, if not abusive. As we are with E-On, I have been told that "your unpatriotic", and "putting money into the German economy, and you are making our's worse"! They then persist to rant at the door step. Even being told that "I don't care, I get paid anyway, I'm trying to help you"!
I made it very clear I was happy with who I was with, and had no intention of changing companies, but still couldn't get rid of him, and then his mate joined in the rant about Germany.
They also stated that the previous tenant had money owing to her, and I would be entitled to this back, if I changed to them? Is this true, sounds like complete nonsense to me.
I have printed of the MSE No Cold Callers, yet they still ignore this sign.
Do ofgem still deal with compalints or who could I complain too, I'm guessing complaining to the company themselves would be a waste of time?
Thanks
I rang SE and told them not to ever send anybody to my door again:D,thankfully they now always pass me by, poor next door had them last week0
