Internet security may be a a bit too heavy on the system especially as you have a netbook. If you have paid for norton can you return it the shops?
Install avira (for virus etcetera) and malwarebytes (for malware etcetera).
If you must install norton, it might not work but can you get a free trial version of norton internet security online (http://uk.norton.com/downloads/trialsoftware/index.jsp?inid=hho_trialware_uk_estore) and put in your liscence code? Others might need to step in and advise on this point as I don't want to make your code redundant.0 -
There should have been a leaflet in the Norton box with a link to the website for downloading NIS, anyway as above download and then enter your activation code when asked.
You will be downloading NIS 2011.
PS My little netbook came with McAffee, removed it and replaced with NIS and its running must better. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
