Thank you for all your replys,
Just to update, I have been given limited information regarding the inhertitance issue, due to me not knowing the stipulations in the trust.
My father was one of two children who was due to inhierit from a large estate left by my fathers parents, however, he had a stroke 14 years ago, my limited understanding of this period, was in order to protect his inheiritence the estate was placed in a trust with my Uncle as executor. I understand provisions were left in the trust to for my fathers funeral, when needed. What no one expected was that my father would out live his elderly parents who both lived to be in their 90's. Before my grandmothers death, my uncle as her advisor changed the stipulations to the trust again to favour his family, making no arrangments for anything to pass to myself or my siblings that I am aware of (that is what I have been told). Because I had been lied to many times by my family I insisted that a state ordered guardian handle my fathers affairs, which was agreed, since his death, I have been in touch with her, and she will be handling his estate during probate. Which I am quite happy for her to do. It is only through her, I will know the truth, however, due to the complexity of my fathers trust, I have been advised, that it could be a year or more before everything is settled, and it is only than I will be aware if there is anything to come my way, I am not expecting anything, as I know his hospital bills were substantial and will consume the estate, I would rather have the money go there, than my Uncles pocket!
As I am going through a acrimonous divorce, I will advise my solicitor of my fathers death and that currently I am not aware of any money coming my way and ask for a clean break order, whether my soon to be ex is willing to sign this is yet to be determined, having not agreed or cooperated with any other portion of the divorce, I think it is highly unlikely.
Lastly, yes I was referring to coming to live in England, not this site. I actually like England, but obviously picked the wrong bloke.:o
