Mutual Friends should NEVER date

Sorry for the letters! didnt want to put names lol
We have a group of friends - A, C, R, S and G.
C and R were dating for 6 years. they brok up, then decided to get back together then broke up again.
C told R that all contact was to be cut etc - no friends, no outings as our group etc.
R is now with someone else
C now being very selfish and asking us all to chck on R and feed C back info.
I've refused, and I know S has refused. G is a little stirrer so is probably feeding some stuff back.
I've told C to pack it in, get over R and move on. C thinks im being incredible nasty and that "its ok for you, your settled, im on my own"
C is 25 lol I've told her to go live a little, enjoy life before settling down etc (for gods sake im only 27!)
How else can i give C a kick up the bum? I've said to NOT contact R - C still sends emails etc! This is obviously upsetting R as R is now confused.
Aside from banging heads together - any ideas?

I would leave them to it. Getting involved will only get you into trouble! If either one of them says 'C or R did this' etc then I would say, 'sorry, not interested'....0

I'm trying to lol Have told C that im not feeding any info and that this is going to end in tears. difficult when C keeps going on and on about it!
think i will try the "not interested" view from now on ty x0 -
Stay out of it, but, if it starts to have a negative effect on others you could tell them both to keep their issues between themselves and explain that is unfair to drag others into it.
Been there, and had them both not wanting to come out at times in case the other was there, then both coming out and b'ggering off early together. ie, they were so wrapped up in the whole 'let's be together! No, let's not. Let's be together etc' thing, that they hardly saw us anymore. That used to p'ss me off so much, so I had to say something to them in the end.
Thankfully, it did get better and they have both since moved on with new partners. Although one took considerably longer than the other to move on.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
knock both their heads together & tell them that there's more going on in the world than their petty squables - if that doesn't work then C has to go.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0
