Mortgage PPI and Home Insurance

Hi all
need some help please?
We currently pay mortgage ppi and home insurance together through one payment for £70 per month.... Is this a big mistake, could we get it cheaper separately?
I have done a separate home insurance quote which came out at £32 - incls free contents/legal/accidental damage/out of home cover.....
The payment we make for the combined ppi/home ins does keep increasing but I can't find out what is the best thing to do?
Should we cancel it and do separate quotes? Or is it even worth paying for mortgage PPI in the first place? Fact is that this year I will be a stay at home mum and although my husband works full time - we have a joint ppi policy that will only cover one person. What other options do we have?
Advice greatly appreciated...
