Gonna try and keep my problem short!
When I was at uni I opened a student account, when I finished I let them know I was a graduate and was moving house (gave them the details over 10 times), 2 years later they finaly decided to change my address (I had nothing from them in this time, they then started adding major charges totaling about £500 to the £1500 overdraft.
They then sent it to there collection agency (who like to phone and treaten you at 10 at night), so I passed it to the banking ombusman who are a bunch of wimps and asked nicely and the bank offered to take £200 off the charges.
My question is what do I do now, it was so long ago I can even remember what happened when!!!

Issue a subject access request under the data protection act - details of what letter to send and where to can be found under this thread:

They then have to send you details of what happened when, though it won't be in the most user friendly format.
You can then take action in the usual way against the unfair charges.
PM me if you need further help.0 -
Its helpful if you let us know what bank it is you are claiming for then people who have done this already with that particular bank may know the answers you are looking for.
Please place any questions you have on the board rather than pm'ing someone as the answers will benefit all.0
